Account deletion

At Burrn, we value the privacy and rights of our users. We understand that there may be circumstances where users wish to have their accounts completely deleted from our platform. To ensure a transparent and efficient process, we have established the following policy for account deletion:
Request Procedure: Users who wish to delete their Burrn accounts can do so by sending an email to support@burrn.app from the email address registered with their account.

Subject Line: In the subject line of the email, users must clearly state "Account Deletion Request" or a similar indication to ensure prompt processing of their request.
Verification: To maintain the security of our users' accounts, we require a verification process for all deletion requests. Upon receiving the deletion request email, our support team will verify the sender's identity against the registered email associated with the Burrn account.
Processing Time: Once the sender's identity is verified, Burrn will initiate the account deletion process promptly. We commit to completing the deletion within 48 hours of receiving the verified request.
Confirmation: After the account deletion process is completed, users will receive a confirmation email to the registered email address, confirming the successful deletion of their Burrn account.
Data Removal: Burrn will permanently delete all personal data and associated information from our systems upon completing the account deletion process. This includes any user-generated content, account settings, and personal information stored within our databases.
EU and Rest of the World: This account deletion policy applies to all Burrn users, regardless of their location. We are committed to complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for users within the European Union (EU) and extending the same rights to users worldwide.
